theVade 4.0 – Movie Reviews and More Update
So this is a hard and necessary update to theVade that has been going on in the back of my mind for months now. As theVade began to grow throughout 2017, we realized that theVade was continuing to progress in great ways, but also in separate ones as well. As the blog succeeded, the reviews would suffer and vice versa. Because of this we have officially decided to split theVade into two separate platforms that stay true to what they represent. As of December 28, 2017 the official blog domain that will replace theVade has been purchased and titled ZachTrack.com, while theVade will continue to grow as a movie review website dedicated to such. We will be transitioning all of theVade’s blog posts over to the new site by January 1st, and theVade and ZachTrack should both have their UI elements completed by January 5th.
With all that being said, this is a quick transition for all of us, so we will continue to provide access to theVade’s blog posts until March 1st. As an added effort to help in our transition we will also be providing links to each site via the About Tab on both sites, and theVade will feature a quick link on the front page until further notice. If you’d like to read more into this transition and such, feel free to check out our Final Blog Post. With all that being said, theVade has a lot of new updates since our previous HBD Update from back in June of 2017. This update includes:
- General Design
- New site logo
- New front page
- Updated social profiles
- The Valkyries
- New awards page updated yearly
- Note: The Valkyries are our yearly awards given out to films that we think are some of the best that we’ve seen. We provide a winner and a runner up to each award, and each award will be featured at the bottom of theVade Review Bar in the respective movie review.

- Note: Due to the change in content, theVade Movies menu will be predominately featured throughout the site.

- Removed direct access to blog posts, rants, and news
- Note: The only way to access old post will be through search, or by heading over to ZachTrack. All posts will be privatized come March 1, 2018.

Doesn’t look like much, but this is probably one of the biggest updates to the site in the entire time it’s been alive. It’s a lot to take in, and trust me and it’s been a lot to think about and work on. Please be patient with us if things aren’t up to speed like they were with the previous versions of theVade. We are working very hard on getting both sites up and running to their best abilities as soon as we can. For those who want to check out the blog feel free to make your way over to ZachTrack.
